There's no smoking in bars in Chicago, but also no sound on the TV

I was having dinner at a bar this evening and Family Guy was on the TV followed by the new Fox show Unbalanced. Or Unscrewed. Maybe Unhitched? Whatever the new 'Un' show on Fox is that premiered tonight.

Anyways. The point was that I found both of these episodes very funny while only having the subtitles. My question is for those of you who also took in the aforementioned viewing: were they funny for you with the sound on?
