A reminder of why I respect my boss

I was riding shotgun on a worker's comp trial today with my boss. Nothing legally complicated, just a "he-said, he-said" sort of affair.

I don't think that we were trailing by the time the other side got up to put their case on. It was 50-50 at that point. But the turning point came quickly and decisively: my boss's cross examination the other side's key witness. The witness was being beaten like a red headed step child. There was no quarter given. And it was a thing of beauty. Sitting second chair, I had to stifle my laughter as it was just getting worse and worse for this witness.

After the cross, the arbitrator called the TKO and that was that.
