Thanks to my current employment status I am able to engage in serious scientific experiments designed to improve health and safety.
Today's experiment is simple and can be done in the comfort of your home: Take two 20 pound dumbbells. Use them to work out. This includes curls, lifts, push ups, and crunches. Then set them back on the floor. Have your phone ring in an adjacent room immediately after setting the dumbbells down. Run towards your phone oblivious of the dumbbells. When your smallest toe comes in contact with said dumbbells at full stride, you have completed the experiment.
I think I have broken my toe.
